We now have several different Surgical Masks to choose from. Of course, all are N95 rated. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that health care workers who handle contagious patients, including those infected by SARS and the avian flu, wear masks that meet the N95 rating under the CDC's National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. This means that the respirators filter out at least 95 percent of airborne particles during testing using a "most-penetrating" sized particle of 0.3 microns. I am happy to provide Emergency Coordinators, CERT Volunteers, Emergency Workers, families, and individuals with this emegency information service below.

To view your state, simply push the MENU button and choose your state abbreviation from the list. The western states included in this feed are Utah, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming.


NOAA's National Weather Service provides this feed in RSS format. The Spring Widget RSS reader provides access to the National Weather Service watches, warnings, advisories, and other similar products. Select a western state by clicking the right arrow to view a list of active alerts for that state, Then click the item to go directly to the NWS website for more information about the alert. These alerts are updated about every two minutes. Tropical Prediction Center/Storm Prediction center alerts are updated on an as needed basis. RSS feeds & forecast zones are provided to aid the automated dissemination of this information. This is an experimental service of the National Weather Service. Comments and feedback are welcome.
